Tyre Pressure &
Remote Tyre Condition Monitoring
What is the RightStrip™ system?
The RightStrip™ is attached to the road surface and communicates wirelessly with the office terminal via the Internet.
The arrival of a vehicle is sensed magnetically and the impact of each of the wheels on the RightStrip™ is recorded. At the same time a thermal sensor logs the tyre temperature.
The raw data is processed and transmitted via the Internet to the user's terminal. The data is analysed and formatted to conform with most management systems. Individual exception and alarm reports are generated and sent direct to the fleet manager by email and to the truck driver by SMS on his mobile phone. For maintenance a card print-out tells the operator exactly which tyres he needs to inflate or deflate on a rig, the rest he can leave alone, only subjecting them to a visual inspection for any mechanical damage.
The data meanwhile is logged and used to build up a performance record that will identify problems such as a slow puncture, tread wear and wheel alignment.
Vehicle Recognition
Individual vehicles may be recognised:
01. Visually - and the registration number entered manually.
02. Electronically - with the aid of an RFID tagged number
plate.
03. Optically - using a compatible Number Plate Recognition
System.
Data Integration
The raw data is processed, formatted and transmitted for integration with a suitable Tyre Management Software system.
Installation Integrity
The RightStrip™ system has inbuilt diagnostics that periodically checks all functions. Any malfunction is transmitted automatically via a dedicated network and flags a service request. Our service partners will provide a 2, 4, or 8 hour response.
