WheelRight received Highly Commended status at the UK National Transport Awards in London last week, in the category of Transport Supplier of the Year.

The Awards, now in their 17th year, were presented by Alastair Campbell, following a keynote speech from Transport Secretary Chris Grayling MP. WheelRight’s unique drive-over tyre management data service impressed judges as it enables fleet operators to reduce accident and incident risk, optimise fuel consumption and tyre wear, and to ensure vehicles and axles are not overloaded. Because WheelRight’s invaluable data is gathered using on-ground sensors, vehicles can have their tyres and loads checked without needing to stop, and without any extra complexity on the vehicle itself.

Held at the Westminster Plaza, the evening celebrated the successes that have been achieved on national and local transport projects. These projects have shown the judges the tangible results they’ve achieved, improving the experience for transport users and ultimately adding to the successful development of the nation’s transport infrastructure.

WheelRight Sales & Marketing Manager Jeff Hilton commented, “We’re really proud of this achievement after only a short time as a commercial enterprise. This commendation is testament to the talented R&D people we have, who have created a truly unique service with massive global potential. To have this recognized by the industry is a great boost. Congratulations to all of the winners and shortlisted companies and projects.”
